Summer Elements Blog Hop

Rita from Toltec Jewels is hosting the Elements of Summer Blog Hop.
It's an opportunity for participants to share the things they treasure about summer.

I live in Northern New Mexico where the winters are cold and the summers are hot and dry.  We try to take advantage of the few short months we have to enjoy the sunshine.
My family
LOVES the outdoors.

We camp, we hike, we fish, we cook out and we take road trips.
Life is busy so this is how we enjoy each others company and RELAX.

 I love fireworks!
The bright lights against a dark sky remind me that summer is here.
(D.C. is one of my favorite cities.)

4th of July Fireworks!

Summer means gardening - a labor of love.

I look to nature for color combinations and work them into my jewelry designs.
I am drawn to crystals.
I used a combination of Swarovski crystals in various sizes for this simple bracelet.

A list of all participants of this blog hop are listed below.  Please stop by and say hello.
Thank you Rita!

  12. I love your blog! My shop name is "GemFairy's Jewels" -- yay, for fairies! And thank you for your summer celebration post! Seeing your camper and cool dog makes me remember my childhood, and how my father and sister and I loved camping! We owned a camp store called "Camper's Delight" and those years all came back to me from your post :)

I love that you remind us to relax, to enjoy the fireworks, and stop to admire the sunflowers in nature and in your beautiful crystal bracelet! It must sparkle like fireflies and fairy dust with the abundance of gorgeous crystals. So pretty!

I'll keep creating - and keep on camping! Thank you Karen for making summer special :)

    Love,
    Rita

  15. Great post. Family, fireworks and flowers. Does it get better? Your bracelet reminds me of the end days of summer, when it's not quite fall yet but you know fall is coming and you have to saver every day. The bracelet is lovely, a crystal beauty!
